This is a book or magazine about tanks/AFVs and/or military modeling.
There’s nothing like looking at the work of a top modeler to get you in the mood to break out a new kit yourself! Like its predecessor, Models in Action #1: Normandy, this new pictorial features Japan’s top modelers joining forces to produce 11 of the most incredible dioramas you’ve ever seen. The theme this time is the Russian assault on Berlin; a fictional German soldier — Helmut Schmitt — is present in all the dioramas, linking them together in a historically-accurate timeline leading up to the final death of the Third Reich.
The photography is stunning. Every diorama is covered by 20-30 full color photos showing every detail from every angle, both tight close-ups and full-page spreads. Japanese and English captions describe the action in the words of the modelers themselves, identifying kits and techniques used to create them. The final 40 pages of the book cover the historical details and show the dioramas during construction (sorry, no English on these pages).
The book is 108 pages, softcover, 26cm x 25.5cm.
