Description
This is a book or magazine about tanks/AFVs and/or military modeling.
Numerous self-propelled guns based on light tank chassis that were active during the late stages of World War II!
The Panzer II and the 38(t) tank, which served as main battle tanks in the early stages of World War II, had limited developmental potential due to the small size of their chassis, and their role as main battle tanks ended around the mid-war period.
However, these chassis were repurposed to mount large anti-tank guns, howitzers, and anti-aircraft guns, continuing to be used as a supplement to anti-tank capabilities until the end of the war.
This book introduces the development and production history of the 38(t) chassis-based anti-tank self-propelled guns such as the Marder III series, the light tank destroyer Hetzer, the self-propelled howitzer Grille, the 38(t) anti-aircraft tank, and the Marder II based on the Panzer II chassis, as well as the Panzer II self-propelled heavy infantry gun and the self-propelled howitzer Wespe. It features detailed photographs, blueprints, and illustrations of the actual vehicles currently existing in foreign museums, including those under restoration. Differences based on production periods and details of the interiors are also explained in detail with photographs and illustrations.
