The Dachs is a combat engineer vehicle developed by the Bundeswehr engineer unit to close the equipment gap with existing armored units. The combat engineer vehicle project, which started to bridge the gap between engineer units and armor units, resulted in using the Leopard series for the vehicle body, and the first Dachs (“badger” in German) was handed over in 1989. It was later refurbished and modernized, and is still commissioned by the Bundeswehr.

This book uses a large number of color photographs to explain in detail the variations of the Dachs, the structure of the vehicle, its technology, and the equipment dedicated to engineers. The operation of the Bundeswehr is also explained.
