Description
This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
From Clear Prop! in Ukraine, a brand-new, fully redesigned 1/72 scale ZIS-5V WWII Soviet 3-ton truck injection kit has been released. The ZIS-5, a 4×2 wheel drive 3-ton truck, began production in 1933 at the Soviet ZIS factory and was a copy of the “Model CA” truck developed by the American Autocar Company. Due to resource shortages during World War II, the ZIS-5V underwent design changes such as flat fenders, wooden cabins and side steps, and the removal of front wheel brakes. Some vehicles were also produced without the right headlight and bumper to simplify production. Starting production in 1942, the ZIS-5V played a significant role during the siege of Leningrad in World War II, notably transporting supplies across the frozen Lake Ladoga-the only supply route to Leningrad, known as the “Road of Life.”
