IBG brings us their 1/72 V3000S/SSM Maultier German Half Track with Tall Cargo Bed and Tarpaulin scale model kit. On the Eastern Front, normal trucks tended to be restricted due to poor road conditions. It was decided to attach a simple track drive device to the rear wheels of a normal truck. The track drive unit was manufactured for British carriers, and it had a structure similiar to the No. 1 tank which kept the cost low. Although it is simple, the ability to drive the trucks in rough going improved greatly, and this method, known as Maultier, became indispensable on the Eastern Front.

In this kit from IBG, the tilt plate of the loading platform is as high as the cab, and the hood is integrated with the side panel. The doors can be opened and closed after assembly. Order yours today!
