Pz.Kpfw II Ausf J tanks were researched and developed with Pz.Kpfw I Ausf F tanks simultaneously, and its code was VK16.01. They had a lot of similarities in the design; meanwhile, their use was also consistent. That is, to support infantry raides on the enemy fortress. This type of tank reinforced the armor (the thickness of the front armor is up to 8cm) and this reduced speed. Its action parts were very similar to the Pz.Kpfw I Ausf F tanks, using a wide cross road wheel and track, and strengthened the firepower, with a larger turret and 20mm caliber cannon. Because of the change in Germany’s strategic situation, the final yield of Pz.Kpfw II Ausf J tanks was only 22; they served mainly in the east line and wiped out.
