The Leopard 2 is the main battle tank of the German Army, adopted as the successor to the Leopard 1 in 1977. The Leopard 2A6M, which was refurbished by KMW (the manufacturer of the Leopard 2 series) in 2010 to strengthen its defense against anti-tank mines, was designed to respond to urban warfare in international peace activities. A vehicle that has been modified to conform to the 2PSO tank has been announced, known as the Leopard 2A7+. The Leopard 2A7 is a type that omits the FLW200 remote weapon station from the Leopard 2A7+.
