This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
In 1940, Italy pursued a modernization program for armored vehicles. The M13 is the core tank of the program, and is a redesigned version of the M11/39. The M11/39 had a self-propelled gun style with a machine gun in the turret and a main gun mounted on the front of the hull, so it had drawbacks such as a narrow field of fire. This was improved by mounting it on a rotating turret. Its main gun was a 47mm gun with improved performance, and the armor thickness was increased to a maximum of 40mm. The twin machine guns were moved to the hull, and the number of crew members was increased to four. Engine power was increased from 105hp to 125hp, but even this was insufficient due to the increased weight. In this way, the M13 which had performance that completely surpassed the M11/39 except for speed, was formalized as the M13/40 in 1940. In terms of performance, it was at a level that could be used on the front lines until around 1941, but after that it gradually lost its superiority. Approximately 800 of the M13/40 units were produced, but nearly 2,000 of the chassis were produced, including those used for self-propelled guns. Order yours today!
