This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

Gerlich Theory Improves Initial Speed

The Daimler Armored Car was developed based on the Daimler Reconnaissance Car.

The Daimler Reconnaissance Car was a lightweight, compact reconnaissance vehicle, and the Daimler Armored Car was a larger version of this vehicle, equipped with the 2-pounder turret of the Tetrarch tank.

To prolong the life of the 2-pounder, a Little John Adapter was fitted to the muzzle of one car in each armored car platoon in the latter half of World War II.

This was developed by a Czechoslovakian exile engineer named Janacek (Littlejohn in English translation), and fired an APSV with a tungsten core reduced in caliber from 40mm to 30mm, based on the same principle as the German Gerlich gun.

Although it was expected to improve penetrative power due to its higher initial velocity, it also had drawbacks such as a short barrel life, and no corresponding grenade was prepared like the 2.8cm sPzB41.

In addition, many crews kept the adapter stowed away once they realized the improvement in penetration even when using APSV shells without the adapter.
