A COE (Cab Over Engine) truck is a vehicle that has a driver’s seat (cabin) above the engine, a layout that became popular starting in the late 1930s. Against the backdrop of strict vehicle length registrations and congestion on city roads at the time, vehicle manufacturers began producing cab-over type trucks with the aim of shortening the vehicle body while not reducing the amount of space for cargo. In 1938, a U.S. automaker developed a vehicle with a short 134-inch chassis and a transport capacity equivalent to a 157-inch chassis truck. In 1939, a refueling vehicle type was produced under license in the Netherlands, and it was used by the German Army during World War II.

This model kit from Ace reproduces the COE refueling vehicle using newly molded body parts. Photo-etched parts and Luftwaffe decals are included. Although this kit is relatively small in scale, it faithfully reproduces even the most delicate parts of this vehicle. Order yours today!
