Late model self-propelled gun modified in 1942
This is a truck produced by the Italian company Lancia.
The 3Ro model is equipped with a 5-cylinder diesel engine that has been in production since 1939 and was used not only for military purposes but also in civilian applications.
It was widely operated as a highly reliable large truck.
Additionally, it was supplied to the German army in 1944.
Production continued until 1949.
The de100/70 mounted version was uniquely manufactured in 1941 at the Italian army factory in Libya.
The gun was mounted on a modified gun carriage made from the turret of a destroyed tank, allowing for 360-degree rotation.
The Lancia 3Ro was very robust, so no reinforcements were needed for the chassis or other components.
The ammunition consisted of 100 rounds stored in two lockers, with a standard crew of 6 members.
It underwent further modifications in 1942.
The total number produced is said to be between 17 and 20 units.
