Dragon brings us 1/6 scale model kit of the German MG42 machine gun from World War II — a perfect accessory for your action figures! The MG42 began production in 1942, and was officially adopted by the German Army in 1943. Many of its parts were made of stamped metal, making it easy to manufacture; as a result, a total of about 400,000 of this weapon were produced by five manufacturers during the war. Its shooting speed was 1,200 shots per minute, and it was powerful enough to be used as an anti-aircraft machine gun.
The delicate details such as the stock, magazine and trigger parts are reproduced. A drum-type magazine is set on the belt, and it can be attached and removed. The barrel can also be removed, and the bipod is movable, with its shape and mechanism firmly reproduced. A special Rafette tripod is also included, which can be folded and unfolded just like the real thing.
