This is a posable doll with real fabric clothing, designed for collectors.
In the opening stages of World War II there were few women in the Soviet Army. As the war turned badly for Russians, women began volunteering for duty in supply, headquarters and other support roles but soon moved into active combat duty. In one area women excelled was in the role of the sniper. One female Russian sniper is credited with 309 kills. A rather impressive number by any standards. The story of the Soviet Snipers both male and female is often overlooked in the history of World War II.
This figure depicts a female sniper in standard issue uniform. The uniform is a simple camouflage with two ammo pouches and a water bottle. She is armed with the Moisen-Nagant M1891/30 rifle fitted with a PE sight. The body is the “Neo” type with fully covered joints and poseable fingers.
