Tamiya has released their second version of the 1/48 Kubelwagen: an Afrika Korps desert model! This release has all the high-quality detail that made their original Kubelwagen a best-seller, with 2 frames of new parts that include covered headlights, “balloon” tires, an Afrika Korps driver and pilot figure – Hans Joachim Marseille, perhaps? Markings are included for four Luftwaffe vehicles, two from JG27 and two from unknown units, plus one vehicle assigned to Ramcke’s Fallschirmjaeger Brigade. We expect this kit will be as hugely popular as the original Kubelwagen release was!
