Description
This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The Panzer IV, which was produced and deployed in large numbers by the Germans in World War II, has high reliability and a relatively generous body size. Various variations were produced. In the latter half of the war, the air superiority was controlled by the Allied Forces, and various self-propelled tanks equipped with anti-aircraft guns were planned and produced in order to secure anti-aircraft combat capability against enemy aircraft. One of them, the Ostend, is equipped with the masterpiece anti-aircraft gun 3.7cm FlaK43 on the chassis of the Panzer IV, with an open-topped turret with a distinctive hexagonal design. It was highly effective, not only for anti-aircraft targets but also for grand targets. In August 1944, 100 of this vehicle were order, but only 43 were produced.
This model kit from Dragon reproduces the Zimmerit coating that prevents magnetic landmines on the hull of the tank, allowing the model to convey the sense of urgency of the front line. The turret is equipped with a 3.7cm anti-aircraft gun; the turret’s unique open-top design and mechanism inside the turret are reproduced in detail. The hull firmly models the features, such as the late G type and early H type track wheels, return rollers, and muffler. Prefabricated Magic Tracks are included for a realistic finish.
