This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
Dragon brings us a model kit of the B type of the German Army’s III-type assault gun that was active in World War II. Using the body of the Panzer III and mounting the main gun in a fixed battle compartment, the StuG III was easy to produce, and could be equipped with a larger gun if desired. At the beginning of its development, it was planed as a direct support vehicle for infantry, and was characterized by a low posture on the condition that its overall height did not exceed the height of a person. As the war progressed, anti-tank combat types were also developed; the B type was the second mass-produced type, which began production in June 1940, and 250 were produced by May 1941. Its main gun was a 24-caliber 7.5cm assault gun StuK37. It was also used in Operation Barbarossa with great success.
This model kit reproduces the B type of the German Army’s III assault gun; its production began in 1940, and its distinctive low silhouette is perfectly expressed. Magic Tracks are included for a realistic finish. The interior of the battle room is also fully reproduced in great detail. With its low roof, main gun mechanics and communications equipment, the fully packed interior is a sight to behold! Rifling is also engraved inside the main gun barrel to enhance the sense of reality. The top surface of the upper battle compartment is accurately reproduced too, from its shape down to the weld marks. The left and right fenders firmly express the characteristics of the B type; photo-etched parts are included for the mesh on the air intake grille, and the antenna support bracket. Order yours today!
