This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The Jagdtiger was developed in 1943 as a tank destroyer equipped with a 55-caliber 12.8cm tank gun. The Jagdtiger shared many of its components with the Tiger II tank; a mockup was completed in October 1943, and the first production type was completed in February 1944. It was equipped with a Maybach V-type 12-cylinder gasoline engine in the rear. The undercarriage was equipped with the same torsion bar suspension as the Tiger II tank. In addition to having strong 250mm armor on the front and 80mm on the sides, it also carried a powerful 12.8cm cannon, and fought bravely against the Allied Forces. After completion, it was assigned to the 653rd Independent Heavy Tank Destroyer Battalion and the 512th Independent Heavy Tank Battalion, and was active in the Battle of the Ardennes and the Battle of the Remagen Bridge.
This 1/35-scale model kit from Dragon reproduces the Jagdtiger, a heavy tank destroyer developed by Henschel. The lower part of the hull is integrally slide-molded to accurately reproduce the details on the underside; the suspension arms are separate parts, and the rolling wheels perfectly replicate the steel wheels made by Henschel. Built-in Magic Tracks are included for a three-dimensional finish. The upper part of the hull accurately models its voluminous shape with the huge box-shaped fighting compartment. Aluminum barrels are included for the powerful main gun; the rifling is engraved for a realistic finish.
