Description
This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The Sd.Kfz.171V Panther tank is said to be the most outstanding German tank of World War II. It is said to have been influenced by the Soviet T-34 that it faced in the German-Soviet War, and has a design with sloped armor that offers excellent bullet evasion; it was equipped with a powerful 75mm cannon. It appeared in combat at the Battle of Kursk, which began in July 1943. The Panther tank was improved as production continued, and the Type A was produced following the first mass-produced Type D. In addition to improving the reliability of the transmission, the turret was equipped with a new cupola with a periscope. More than 2,000 of this tank were produced from 1943 to 1944. During that time, improvements were made in the details, and the model was passed down to the G model, which is said to be the superior type.
This model kit from Dragon realistically reproduces the Panther’s unique style, including the upper part of the hull with the sloped armor and the shape of the turret. Aluminum parts are included for the gun barrel, and the muzzle brake is a 3D-printed part that expresses a complex shape in a single part. Photo-etched parts are included foe the engine deck grille for delicate reproduction of details. The Shulzen attached to the side of the hull is also made of metal parts. The suspension arm at the bottom of the vehicle is a separate part too. The tracks are Magic Tracks that can be assembled into a staggered arrangement of wheels; bonus parts include metal vehicle width poles and tow cable parts made of copper wire. This kit is an excellent way to observe the 80th anniversary of the Italian Campaign, which began in 1943 with the Allied forces landing on Sicily! Order yours today!
