The T-80U, produced since 1985, is a vehicle based on the T-80A, equipped with an improved gas turbine and the latest “Contact 5” explosive reactive armor. The T-80UK is a command tank type equipped with new systems such as the TShU-1-7 Store 1 active protection system, the TNA-4-3 navigation system, and KV radio equipment on the basic T-80U.
