Hey, if you’re going the capture enemy tanks why let ’em go to waste? The SU-76i was a nifty Soviet way to put captured Panzer III tanks back to use against their former owners. A new armored superstructure was stuck on top with the venerable Soviet 76mm gun pointed downrange. With a coat of Soviet green paint, the SU-76i was used as an assault gun for infantry units.

Dragon’s 30th anniversary kit encompasses its Smart Kit release of the SU-76i (kit 6838), along with one of its hardy originals German 6th Army [Stalingrad 1942-43], kit 6017. This is all topped off with Volstad’s gorgeous artwork.

Hard to believe it’s been 30 years since we first saw a Dragon figure set!
