This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

The M4 Sherman tank appeared in many variations and served with the armies of many Allied nations during WWII and beyond. Dragon’s M4A1(76)W goes a long way toward replacing the veteran Italeri kit of the same variation. This variation features the one-piece cast hull and T23 turret with 76mm gun, as well as “wet” storage for the ammunition (that’s the “W” in the designation), with the VVSS (Vertical Volute Spring Suspension) suspension. The kit features fantastic detail throughout, with the fine plastic augmented with photo-etched metal detail parts. The cast hull and turret surfaces are particularly well done. The T48 rubber chevron tracks are provided as individual link assemblies (time consuming, but the results are spectacular!). Brass ammunition, a turned aluminum main gun barrel, clear parts for the periscopes and lights, and wires for the tow cable are also provided. The decals by Cartograf feature markings for six vehicles, including vehicles that participated in Operation Cobra following the D-Day landings, opening the mechanized dash across France.
