This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The US Army’s M7 Priest was a WWII design that mounted a 105mm Howitzer onto the modified chassis of the M3 medium tank. The type saw great success in the field, providing excellent mobile artillery support. 3,490 units were built during the war.
Academy’s M7 Priest is a much-welcomed release in the world of 1/35 Allied armor, as the only other kit available for decades has been the decent but obsolete Italeri kit. The molding and detail of the parts are excellent, and apparently Academy has corrected the height of the bogey casings from their previous Lee kit. The kit includes two styles of early bogies and one style of late (with trailing arm return rollers), but only mentions the one early style…plenty of parts for the spares box! The tracks are the same flexible belt-style tracks that were included in the Lee kit, which are the rubber block type. Includes a nice interior and decals for four versions.
