This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

Tamiya follows up on its release of the Russian BT-7 tank with this variation, the 114mm-gunned self-propelled Howitzer BT-42, as used by the Finnish Army. Tamiya created this kit with the full cooperation of the Parola Tank Museum in Finland! The distinctively massive turret and 114mm gun are faithfully reproduced, as are the different style fenders and other hull items as compared to the BT-7. Includes photo-etched metal detail parts, one crew figure, and decals for three marking variations.
