Description
This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The Leopard was the first German tank developed after WWII. At first, this was a part of the joint program for NATO’s Standard Tank, along with Italy and France, in the late 1950’s. After initial termination of the project, it was finally completed in 1963 and deployed with the West German Army in 1965. The Leopard gained high agility and speed with its powerful 105mm gun but this manoeuvrability came at the cost of relatively thin armor. This kit is an old one originally tooled as a motorized kit in the late 1960’s, but it is still quite attractive. This is a display (not motorized) model which includes the upper torso of the commander figure. Tracks are of the rubber band type. This kit will be very suitable for a beginner.
