This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The Bergepanzer 2 is a tank recovery vehicle based on the Leopard 1 developed by West Germany as a successor to the Bergepanzer 1 (M88A1).
Development started in 1963 and a prototype was completed in 1965. After being tested, the Bergepanzer 2 “Standard” was handed over to the West German Army in 1966.
The right side of theBergepanzer 2 is equipped with a 270 degree rotatable crane that can lift a heavy load of 20 tons, and the dozer plow on the front can also be used as an anchor in addition to ground removal. A total of 444 units were deployed by the West Germans.
