Description
This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The Karl was a large German self-propelled mortar developed in 1936. It was aimed at capturing the Maginot Line, and had a barrel only 5 meters long in spite of its being 60mm caliber. The shells were said to have a range of 7,000 meters and a weight of 2 tons, able to crush 2.5-meter thick concrete. Seven prototypes were built between 1940 and 1941, although a 54cm caliber version with a longer barrel was also produced. The number of wheels was changed from eight to 11, as well; rail was generally used for long-distance transport of these guns.
This kit reproduces the 11-wheel version of the Karl, with both 60cm and 54cm mortars; bogies to keep it secured during rail transport are also included, as is the carrier and a length of track for a base. Order yours today!
