The 37mm anti-aircraft gun model 1939 consisted of a machine gun, an automatic anti-aircraft sight, a machine with mechanisms of the vertical and horizontal aim, a counterbalancing mechanism (equilibrator) and shield protection. Both in battle and in the marching position, the gun carriage was on a four-wheel cart. The wagon had sprung wheels of car type, which provided it with a speed of 60km/hour. The practical rate of fire was 60 shots a minute. Lifting and rotary mechanisms provided maintaining of circular fire with the corners of vertical targeting from -5 to +85 degrees. During the war, about 18,000 such guns were produced.
