Description
This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
The Kubelwagen was seen in use by every part of the German armed forces during WWII, and was built from the same frame that became the Volkswagen “Beetle” after the war. Kit features include engine and transmission detail (which can be displayed through an open rear hatch), rubber tires (so-called “baloon” tires for the desert operation), a windshield that can be folded down, and choice of raised or lowered canvas top. This set modelized the personal car of the famous fighter ace, Hans Marseille. Its characteristic “OTTO” sign decorated with colorful pictures of african reptiles and animals on the sides of the body is presented by decal. A zinc die-cast figure of Marseille in well known posture is included, too.
