Description
This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
In June 1941, Germany invaded the Soviet Union with Operation Barbarossa. The German Army continued to make good progress, including encircling Leningrad, but in response the Soviets fielded their T-34 tank, which was equipped with sloped armor that had a bulletproofing effect and a 76mm gun that was more powerful than the German tanks of the time. At first it lagged behind Germany in terms of operation, but due to its overwhelming production capacity and improvements, it became a masterpiece tank that contributed to the Soviet victory. The T-34 is also said to have had a great influence on the design of the German Panther tank.
This model kit from Dragon reproduces the 1941 model of the T-34/76. Among the 42-year models of the T-34/76, this is the Stalingrad Tractor Factory (STZ) production type. The upper part of the hull, the shape of the turret and the suspension are all realistically modeled; two types of turrets are included for you to choose from — the early production type from 1942, and the late production type. The turrets include weld marks, and a metal part for the barrel of the 76.2mm cannon, engraved with rifling, is included as well. The hatches on the underside of the chassis are accurately reproduced, and the suspension arm is a separate part. The tracks are prefabricated Magic Tracks to lend a heightened feeling of reality.
