The M48 is a first-generation main battle tank developed in the United States, affectionately known as “Patton” after World War II.
The M48A3 is an improved version of the M48A1, equipped with a V-type 12-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine and a new type of fire control system.
Approximately 2,000 M48A1 tanks were upgraded to M48A3 tanks.
