From Panda Hobby comes this 1/35 scale model of the ZTZ99A, a Chinese mass-produced third generation battle tank. The ZTZ99A is an improved version of the original Type 99 with mounted 3rd generation (Relikt-type) ERA, and an active protection system.

The tank has an arrow shaped turret with applique armor. The ZTZ99A turret has improved armor, a commander’s periscope, and is fitted with a unique active laser protection system. This system uses a high-powered laser to interfere with infrared guidance signals, disable adversaries observations of it and can cause damage to enemy gunners eyesight. This active laser protection system can be used against both ground and helicopters targets. The system can also warn the crew about incoming laser-guide anti-tank missiles.
