Description

This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.

Here’s what Revell has to say about the M3A1 Scout Car: It was not until after the M3A1 Scout Car (made between 1941 & 1944) had become outdated in its original reconnaissance mission in World War II, that it started on its rightful career. Almost 21,000 examples were made and served in the US Army in European theatres of war as command, patrol, ambulance and transport vehicles in addition to their original scout function. In addition several countries allied to the USA, such as France, Great Britain and the USSR used them. The armament consisted of two to three MGs that could be mounted at any point on the peripheral rails. In order to reduce surplus stocks after World War II the USA disposed of the M3A1 Scout Car to many other armies throughout the world.

This is the original Peerless Max tooling of the M3A1, which has also appeared in Zvezda, Italeri, Testors, and Zvezda boxings prior to this current Revell release. This kit has been around! And with good reason: it’s a decent kit, and it’s just about the only choice for a 1/35 M3A1 on the market. The kit features movable wheels, it can be built with or without tarpaulin covers, it has 3 movable MGs, a detailed interior, and includes accessories such as an ammunition chest, sacks, and a gun. Includes decals for 5 versions (USA, France, Greece, Israel, Sweden).
