This is an injection-plastic military vehicle model kit.
Nicknamed the Rat by Hitler himself, the Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte is one of the largest armored vehicles to have ever been designed. Weighing in at over 1,000 tonnes and measuring 35m (115ft) long and 14m (46ft) wide this P. 1000 Ratte was to be a real monster, if it ever could have realistically made its way to a battlefield. Main armament was to have been two of the 28 cm SK C/34 naval guns designed for use on the Scharnhorst-class battleships. The project was ultimately and wisely cancelled by Albert Speer in 1943.
Now thanks to our friends at Modelcollect well have the chance to build our very own Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte tanks in 1/72 scale!
All parts come molded in grey plastic. Individual link tracks (1,068 of them!) come molded in black. Metal springs and photo-etched metal detail parts are also included. While the manual (and the actual real life design) only has you install two of the large Naval guns in the turret, there are enough parts to build a three gun turret if one desires.
This is truly a massive and beautiful kit!
