This is a resin-cast military vehicle model kit.
The Honi I is a self-propelled gun with a Type 90 field gun mounted on the body of a Type 97 medium tank. The Type 90 is a long-range, high-firepower field gun that can pierce 70mm of armor plate from a distance of 1,000 meters when using a Type 1 armor-piercing bullet; it also weighed 1,400kg, making it difficult to maneuver. Development began in 1939, and prototype guns and vehicles were completed in 1941; mass production did not begin until the latter half of 1943. It participated in battles in the Philippines and Burma, and demonstrate its power in the Battle of Saraksak Pass on Luzon Island in March 1945, forcing the U.S. forces to withdraw from their positions.
