Product Description
IDAP Technology 1/72 French AMC Schneider P-16 Armored Vehicle.

The Schneider AMC P16 is a French half-track vehicle from the interwar period and World War II. The first prototype of this vehicle was manufactured in 1924, with mass production occurring between 1928 and 1931. Approximately 100 units were produced. The vehicle was powered by a 60 horsepower Panhard engine. Its armament consisted of a 37mm SA18 gun and one 7.5mm machine gun. The presented vehicle was developed by Citroen as a variant of the Citroen Kegresse 1923 between 1923 and 1924. Production was transferred to Schneider’s factory after it was found that production was not feasible at Citroen’s factory, leading to the start of production in 1928. Due to the delays in starting production and the obsolescence of the vehicle’s design, the Schneider AMC P16 was not exported. However, the vehicles that were produced participated in combat with the French Army during operations in North Africa from 1942 to 1943, as well as in the 1940 campaign. By the early stages of World War II, this vehicle had become clearly outdated for the French Army.
