From the manufacturer:
Work on pulse-jet engines in the USSR began in 1942 under the guidance of Vladimir Nikolayevich Chelomey. It took him two years to build and test the first Soviet pulse-jet.
The first variant of the Soviet winged missile was the 10Kh. Approximately 300 pieces were built. The design of the 10Kh was similar to the German V-1.
In 1945, the Chelomey OKB had completed the advanced development project of the 16Kh winged missle. The final version of the 16Kh had 2 D-3 engines placed in the tail section. The Tu-2 bomber was chosen as the delivery vehicle, but later the Tu-4 was also used.
In the year 1947, the Soviet government ordered three versions of winged missiles: the air-launched, the naval and the surface version. Later the order had been reduced to the missile 16KhA and the target drone 10KhM.
This kit is molded in tan plastic.
