This is an injection-plastic figure set for use with military dioramas or individual display.
After the debacle of Africa in 1943, Sicily became the focal point for both Allies and Axis members; the island was a means to open the way for the soft underbelly of Europe — Italy. German swiftly deployed reinforcements there; one of the units was Fallschirmjager Regiment 3. (3rd. Paratrooper Regiment). As was the nature of the paratroops, the regiment fought fiercely and tenaciously to delay the advance of the Axis troops. This kit represent four soldiers fighting on that rugged terrain. The moldings are very fine, capturing the natural folds of the thin cloth of the tropical shirts and trousers. Other individual equipment designed specially for paratroopers, such as cloth gas mask pouches and rifle ammo, and bandoleers, are included, too. Very nice figures will add the tension of combat to your tank diorama!
